When look at a highly popular Greek figure or a fighter with a spartan helmet, armor and a steel sword, the first picture that comes to your mind is the one of Spartan warrior.
During the fifth century the Spartan infantry come to the foreground, a type of phalanx that maintained the warrior in an impervious structure, so the enemy couldn’t penetrate in that structure.
